- Revision to Mediation PolicyThe Tribunal has revised section 6F of its Mediation Policy to clarify that there is an exception to the requirement of confidentiality to the extent necessary to prove the existence of scope of the settlement.
- Case Path Pilot – Extension and ReviewThe Tribunal issued its Practice Direction initiating the Case Path Pilot [CPP] on May 6, 2022 and subsequently extended it pending the ongoing process review. The most recent extension expired on April 30, 2025. - Survey announcedThe Tribunal has launched a survey on its Case Path Process and other process options. Please participate to help the Tribunal improve its process. This survey will be open until April 14, 2025.
- Update from the Chair on Backlog and DelayWhat is the Backlog? Backlogs accumulate when a Tribunal has more complaints than it has capacity to process. The number of new complaints filed with the Tribunal spiked in the 2020/21 fiscal year, and those numbers have remained more than double the historic average since. - Request for qualification for mediators is posted on BC BidInterested Vendors are invited to submit a Response to this RFQ for the opportunity to be evaluated for eligibility to be added to the BC Human Rights Tribunal’s list of Qualified Suppliers to provide mediation services.
